WHO WE ARE
Laurie DeWine, Doctor of Audiology Laurie graduated in 2008 with her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences. Audiology has traditionally been a master’s degree profession, which Laurie completed from Ohio State University in 1979. Recent certification changes have been made which require all new graduates to complete an Au.D. program. Laurie was able to continue to practice audiology with her prior certification but felt it was important to obtain additional knowledge about her ever-changing field. Laurie is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and holds licensure in the states of Ohio and Kentucky. She has a genuine interest in the work she does as an audiologist and is committed to her profession. She is honest and caring, and strives to improve the communication abilities of all patients she works with. ![]() Lynn was promoted to Office Manager in January 2010 after working 3 years as a full-time receptionist. Lynn schedules appointments and oversees the daily office functions of The Place for Better Hearing. She is also our Assistive Listening Device (ALD) expert. She helps patients find the correct ALD for their lifestyle. Lynn is extremely enthusiastic and will always greet you with a smile.
Stefanie Godbey, Audiologist Stefanie Godbey is a part-time audiologist for The Place for Better Hearing. She has been working with hearing impaired individuals for nearly 10 years after graduating from the University of Cincinnati with her Master of Arts degree in 1998. Stefanie is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She is certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is licensed in the states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Stefanie was recently named an American Academy of Audiology Scholar for her outstanding commitment to continuing education. She is truly dedicated to her patients and feels good hearing is the key to excellent communication.
Diane retired in January 2010. Diane will be greatly missed! We are happy to announce that Diane will be returning to the office during our special events to lend a helping hand.
