We make ear molds that double as sound and swim molds, available in a silicone material. They provide an average attenuation of 37dB (reduction of sound by 37 decibels). For those with recurrent ear infections such as swimmer's ear (otitis externa), infections of the middle ear (otitis media), or ear tubes (P.E. tubes), the best bet is often custom made swim molds. These custom ear plugs keep ears dry, preventing water containing harmful bacteria to get trapped inside the ear.
Musicians' ear plugs come with Etymotic Research ER-9, ER-15, or ER-25 filters. This snap-in filter will give either a uniform 9, 15, or 25 dB attenuation.
Ear molds for Behind-The-Ear (BTE) hearing aids come in a variety of styles; some made of hard acrylic or a soft silicone material.
Ear molds for Receiver In the Canal (RIC) hearing aids secure the receiver of the hearing aid into the “sleeve” of the custom made ear mold for consistent delivery of sound to your ear canal.
Ear molds for iPOD and MP3 player ear buds help keep ear buds in your ears when you walk the dog, mow the lawn, or exercise. They even stay in your ears when you run.
